Bridge · website and brand
A seafood website has one job, and it is not looking modern.
A buyer in Boston, a chef in Halifax, or a processor two bays over is going to look you up before they call. What they find decides whether the call happens. Most sites in this industry either do not exist, or were built in 2011 and say nothing a buyer needs: what you land, what volumes you can hold, what certifications you carry, and who picks up the phone.
Bridge is that site. It is not a brochure, it is the thing that turns a stranger who heard your name into an email with a real question in it.
You are reading one right now. This site is the demo: we built it for ourselves, and it is a working sample of the standard.
- Runs on
- Fast static hosting. Nothing for you to maintain
- Yours
- The code, the domain, the content, on day one
- Produces
- Enquiries that land in your inbox with the details filled in
- Includes
- Copy, photography direction, and the search groundwork
- The writing
- We write it, in your words, after asking you how the work is actually done. Copy is not something you fill in afterwards; it is most of what the site is.
- The design and the build
- Custom, not a theme with your logo dropped on it. Fast on a phone on a bad connection, because half your visitors are reading it from a truck.
- Photography direction
- You almost certainly have better photographs than any stock library, and if you do not we will tell you exactly what to go and shoot.
- The enquiry path
- A form that lands in your inbox with the details already filled in, so an enquiry arrives as something you can answer rather than something you have to chase.
- The search groundwork
- Titles, structure, a sitemap, the business markup, and the accounts registered so you can see whether anybody found you. Not a monthly SEO retainer.
- The handover
- The code, the domain, the accounts, and a written explanation of how to change the things you will want to change. It is yours the day it ships.
Why not just use Squarespace?
Sometimes you should, and we will say so. If what you need is four pages and a contact form and you have someone who enjoys fiddling with it, a builder is genuinely the right answer and we are not going to charge you thousands to reach the same place. Come to us when the site has to do something: carry your species and volumes as real structured content, feed enquiries somewhere useful, load fast on a bad rural connection, and read like the operation behind it rather than like a template that has also sold flowers and yoga.
What does the care plan actually do?
Hosting, the domain and certificate, dependency and security updates, backups, and a reasonable amount of content changing through the season. It is optional and it always will be, because you paid for the site and it is yours. Cancel it and the site keeps working; you just take over the hosting, and we hand you what you need to do that.
